The amount you donate goes to help defray the costs of webhosting and the semiannual licensing costs for the IP.Board forum software. Any funds not used toward these expenses go into a grant to be dispersed at the discretion of the PDX Prepared administrative team in the use of a purchase for the NET program.

You do not need a Paypal account to use Paypal as a donation method.

PDXPrepared.net was born on March 17, 2007 when Lawrence Behmer, Ethan Jewett and Inger Klekacz noticed that were was no real online community dedicated to volunteer emergency responders. People come to emergency response with all sorts of background experience and wisdom, and we elected to build this community to facilitate easier sharing of that knowledge.

This site is paid for and maintained by volunteer emergency responders. No city funds or employee hours go into it.

Our mission is to serve and promote NET and the overall emergency preparedness of Portland by providing an online community where NETs can exchange information, and to provide the public with centralized access to information about preparedness and NET involvement.
