Enjoy incredible music, scrumptious pizza, delicious microbrews and partake in the raffle to win fabulous prizes to call your own and adore! Your Neighborhood Emergency Team is a group of citizen volunteers, trained by the Portland Fire Dept. and the Portland Office of Emergency Management to assist neighbors like you, in small or large disasters. All proceeds from this benefit will be used directly to purchase equipment and materials (like cots, bandages, etc.) that will be used to help YOU if disaster strikes. All things considered, it didn't go badly at all. One of the things we learned is that it's very difficult to compete with good weather in Portland. So if you're going to have a fundraiser of your own, do it in, say, November. or January. But we did come away with money we didn't have before, so that's something.
