SW NETs Outreach/Recruitment Options

Hello All SW NET Leaders -
The letter below went out to Hillsdale NET's group email list today, March 18, 2010. We could really use more volunteers to help with this community outreach and volunteer recruitment. The kiosk was funded by a grant from SW Neighborhoods Inc., and we want to make good use of it this Spring and Summer. All SW NETs are welcome to help us staff the kiosk to educate our neighbors and recruit new team members. Thanks.

Hello Hillsdale NET and Friends -
NET folks are always telling me two things: we need to get more people
trained, and we need to encourage our neighbors to prepare for
emergencies. Great news! We now have the resources for this right here
in SW Portland, an area of the city likely to be hardest hit.

Now we need your help. Suddenly we have three outreach events
scheduled, and no volunteers yet to staff the kiosk!
Friday, April 2nd 6:30 - 8:30pm Southwest Community Center Family Fun
Night
Sunday, April April 25th Two shifts: 9:30-Noon, or Noon-2:30 Hillsdale
Farmers Market
Sunday, May 23rd Two shifts: 9:30-Noon, or Noon - 2:30 Hillsdale
Farmers Market

If you are from another SW NET Team (here's a shout out to Multnomah,
Bridlemile, Hayhurst, Maplewood, and Arnold Creek!) you are welcome to
join us in the kiosk to promote your NET - people from all over SW
Portland will be there.
